Tiesto is no stranger to beautiful beaches and most definitely knows how to throw a party on them. Our team was tasked to develop a new campaign titled, “Tiesto: The Trip,” an all encompassing Cancun experience hosted by the man himself.
The brief was simple. Tiesto is going to Cancun to host a four day intimate experience. After initial discovery rounds, we decided to approach the project using 3D. My role was to develop a scalable scene using Cinema 4D for a hyperrealistic look. The direction was to keep it luxurious and mature, as we were targeting an older demographic, but also bring in hints of surrealism to suggest it’s not too serious.
After several feedback rounds, the team decided to pivot from 3D and simplify the approach using Photoshop. Additionally, the direction changed from luxurious to playful, while keeping the maturity level about the same. The solution was to keep it simple under time constraints and the end result was a composition using tropical elements, warm tones, and surreal skies.

The simplification of the key art made it easily scalable and editable. Once approved and delivered, the team scaled the artwork into over 50 visuals to be used on social media, web, CRM, and print in collaboration with marketing.
